Vernon Abelsen, AIA vabelsen@smrarchitects.com Vernon received his Associate degree in Science from Victoria College, Texas, in 1986 and his Bachelor of Science degree in Art-Architecture from Portland State University in 1988. He received his Master of Architecture degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1991. Prior to joining Stickney & Murphy in 1996, Vernon worked at SERA Architects, John Stewart Architects, Zervas Group Architects and John Cheney Architects. He became an Associate at SMR in 1998. Vernon is a present co-chair of the Seattle Landmarks Board and a past chair of AIA Seattle's Historic Resources Committee. |

Christina Bollo cbollo@smrarchitects.com Christina Bollo received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Oregon. Born and raised in Chicago, Christina became interested in architecture at the age of three, when her mother introduced wooden blocks. Since then, her interest has shifted to environmentally and socially sustainable low-income housing for some of the more challenging constituencies. Christina first worked for SMR from 1998 to 1999; she returned in 2004.

Tracie Giles admin@smrarchitects.com Tracie Giles received her Bachelor of Arts in German from the University of Washington. Her strong personal interest in architecture coalesced with her natural organizational abilities in her first Office Management position for Demetriou Architects in Kirkland, Washington. She joined SMR Architects in 2002 and brings her distinct expertise to provide a breadth of support from billing and bookkeeping, to office systems and marketing. |

Kimberly McKittrick kmckittrick@smrarchitects.com Kimberly McKittrick joined SMR as an associate in 2008. She has worked with Hewitt Architects and Pyatok Architects in Seattle, and with several firms specializing in multi-family housing in California and Texas. Kimberly received her Bachelor of Arts from Brown University in 1982, and her Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin in 1989. |

Andrew Phillips aphillips@smrarchitects.com Andrew Phillips is an Architect and became an Associate at SMR Architects in 2005. He received his Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University in 1989 and his Masters of Architecture from the University of Washington in 1994. Andrew worked at Stuart Liss Architects in Arlington, VA and the Essex County Council's Historic Building Department before joining Stickney & Murphy in 1996. He is currently serving on the Editorial Committee of ARCADE magazine. He has served on the Board of Docomomo US (2001-2007) and is a founding member and current Board member of the local chapter, Docomomo WEWA. |
