Rainier House Apartments awarded 2010 Excellence in Construction
The Downtown Emergency Service Center hired Rafn Company, through a competitive bid, for the fourth time to build Rainier House. All four have included SMR Architects, making the team highly effective and able to tackle significant challenges. Rainier House is a $9.93 million, mixed-use building that is home to mentally challenged, formerly homeless men and women in the Rainier Valley.

Pantages Apartments a featured project in the AIA's "Future Shack: Housing the 21st Century" program
Pantages Apartments was among 11 regional projects selected by a jury as models of viable, progressive solutions for residential living. Future Shack winners were judged on several criteria, including their success at enhancing neighborhood character and confronting other urban issues, such as density and livability.
